I am a collector of everything cute and fuzzy. :) I love LOVE love wolves, (in a crazy, probably obsessive way) but collect a great variety of wolfie and other animal related things, from movie memorabilia to vintage German toys, to native carvings and fine art.

I have officially reached over 40 totes of plush. *Faints*. And not small totes.... the really really big ones! And, I still have at least a dozen critters who are just plain too big to fit into a tote. Everybody is being packed up and moved into storage (sobs) for the impending remodel. In an attempt to make a little space, I am letting go of a variety of plush because it saves me three totes! Mostly they are goodwill and yard sale finds, stuff that came in lots with other plush....There are a couple nicer plush that are NWT. Just stuff that in general that I am not particularly attached to. And I have more to list this weekend! Just droppe

What is your preference? As plush collectors, do you prefer large plush that are floppy, or do you like to see plush that have wiring in the legs and are more firmly stuffed (Like the Douglas of the late 90's; Miler Husky, Shannon Golden, etc.) Would you like to see Douglas and other brands come out with more of the high quality, big collector/display plush that can stand up nicely on their own?
I have noticed that the current trend leans toward floppy; and I am not sure if that is just because lead-free wiring has become more difficult/expensive to obtain; or if it is due to consumer preference. For example - Barker husky is the same size a

Douglas collection at Goodwill

I rarely have time to stop and second-hand treasure hunt, but today I made a quick hop into the Goodwill after a trip to the Joanne's fabric next door. I rarely find much in the way of Douglas at our local goodwill, but today it would seem that someone had donated their entire collection! The racks were chock full of random Douglas! (Nothing super rare, though one can always hope!) I came home with 4 for less than $10- who I have identified as Kipper Airedale, Ingrid Corgi, Lester German Shepherd, and the 8" sitting kohair wolf from 2003-2005. I actually almost placed a bid on them, but due to moving suddenly I decided against it. XD I actually know who those went to. I think she went by the username hooskydawg or something. So glad that they went to her and not some little kid. XD
I couldn't believe it when I stumbled upon him. (The Muk and Luk one.) I never realized another one existed other than a rumored Jenna that someone thought she had seen as a kid. But this definitely leaves me wondering if there is indeed a Jenna and or Steele one in existence. Heck maybe even Both Jenna and Steele exist, but who knows. Lol We won't know that until someone lists them for sale and or posts pictures of them.

Yes I am glad they went to a collector! And I am certain that there is at least one more that we have yet to see! I have searched and searched for old advertisements but can't seem to dig anything up. I would pay literally thousands of dollars to get my hands on the full set..... they gotta be out there somewhere.
